Where to stay in Rothenburg ob der Tauber: Hotel Reichsküchenmeister

A family business of many generations situated in the center of the old city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Hotel Reichsküchenmeister offers comfortable accomodation and delicious meals and special travel packages. The very friendly ambiance all round the clock is completed by attractive offers that helps you save enough for your next trip in the area. For my 2-day stay, I booked the Flair-Bonbon package that included a free ticket for a guided tour, entry tickets to the Criminal History Museum and the city museum, plus a 3, respectively a 4-course menu. The breakfast is included in the price, a bit over 200 EUR.
The hotel is part of a larger hotel network in Germany, Austria and Italy, Flair Hotels, aiming to offer special accomodations experiences at convenient prices, focused on wellness and local food. The visitor will not only sleep well, but will also have a taste of the local cuisine and will have access to the best sightseeings in town.
Hotel Reichsküchenmeister has a very inviting and elegant lobby, designed in the local architectural style in the region.
My wooden-ceiling room was relatively fine for one person and a half - baby bed was provided and everything was clean and perfectly arranged for a long rest after a long wandering around the city. The furniture is far from being stylish, but has enough amenities for organizing your stuff during the stay. It has air condition, basic amenities such as hair dryer and some local shampoo and toiletries, plus TV. There is no fridge or mini bar. The Internet is fast and can be used with a password gave once you check-in.
My room was on the side on the main street and this had a big disadvantage: being witness against my will to the Babel of languages and voices of visitors and locals roaming loudly around until late in the morning. Luckily, I was tired enough to fall asleep faster than expected so the outside noises melted into the future travel dreams.
The food part is one of the best advantages of the hotel. The morning meal offers to the alien visitor a lot of local cheese and homemade delicious jams - such as black currant. For me, it is served early enough - between 7.30 and 10.00 - to have the rest of the day for myself, but maybe those only here to relax might be a bit annoyed to wake up that early. The 3-/4-course menu was really special (drinks were not included), available in vegetarian option as well. The hot goat cheese soaked in honey sauce or the ice cream were delivered promptly, elegantly and with a big smile.
A good accommodation experience make your stay in a new city memorable and if I would like to return to Rothenburg ob der Tauber - read my next post to see how many reasons I have to do it - Hotel Reichsküchenmeister will be listed among the reasons for sure.
